Pocket drawing books. Made in situ on walks, visual recordings of journeys through Wales, Yorkshire, the Lake District & local woodland. Some pages are drawn from photographs on a mobile phone screen or sat in a gallery in Amsterdam. The act of drawing in situ acts as a useful holding strategy for looking longer and closer at a place while the concertina and the small scale of the book are agents of travel, adaptability and movement. Drawings morph into each other playfully suggesting unusual juxtapositions. A drawing practice that informs other work on a larger scale.
